Infertility

PDFPrintE-mail

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after twelve months of unprotected sex, if you are thirty-five years old or older, than six months of unprotected sex warrants a work-up. If your are located in Frisco, McKinney or the surrounding area schedule an appointment at my Frisco office to do a comprehensive evaluation of the causes of infertility involves both future parents.

If you're having trouble getting pregnant it's proven, forty percent of the time the issue involves the sperm and forty percent involves the egg. The rest is a combination of factors evaluated with lab and radiology studies.

Each time a new couple comes to my office we engage in a 60-minute discussion to review potential causes, treatments, and tests that are needed to determine the cause of problems with pregnancy. Our office is capable of doing artificial insemination, ovulation induction with Clomid and Ovidrel and follicular studies to evaluate if mature ovarian follicles are being produced. These studies and procedures are usually done at a fraction of the cost of going to a reproductive endocrinologist. I do have the luxury of a close relationship with the fertility specialists at the Frisco Institute for Reproductive Medicine so any issue that may come up I address with the experts, and if a referral is warranted, a smooth transition can occur.
